About Jaime’s Tone
“Since founding the project in 2019, Jaime’s Tone has developed a style that fuses pop, rock, hard rock, and progressive rock, creating a sonic identity that moves between indie rock and post-punk. […] His work has been recognized for its refined production and emotional depth, making him a benchmark in alternative rock”. Indie AM, Mexico
Since 2019 and the founding of Jaime’s Tone by Jacques M. a composer, songwriter and arranger from Paris, France, Jaime’s Tone has released a total of five albums. The latest one is a Best Of compilation, released in May 2025. JYLA’S BLOG calls the album a reimagined retrospective with new clarity and heart, while COCOMYRRH states that it is a vibrant rebirth that redefines what a greatest hit album should be.
“Five years after the release of the first Jaime’s Tone album, and after a more intimate release in both French and English, I felt the need to reinvent some of my songs”, stated Jacques M.. “I had the feeling that some songs from the first two albums were really great, and deserved to be re-edited and remastered, with the idea to be on the one hand more straightforward, and, on the other hand, to achieve a better sound”.
Naturally, Jacques turned to Etienne Pelosoff, the mixing and mastering engineer who took care of Jaime’s Tone’s third album, “Take Your Chance”. He re-edited songs from the first two albums, and then asked Etienne to remaster the whole album. Not only did Etienne perform a great work, but he also made a remix of his favorite title of the third album, which appears on the ‘Best of’ as a bonus track.
Previously, Jaime’s Tone had released an album in two versions: one entitled All Those Years in English, and another one entitled Ces années-là in French. Both albums feature more personal songs from Jacques M., hence a different logo on the covers.
Before that, Jaime’s Tone had already released Take Your Chance in 2024, Alone in the City of Dreams in 2023, and Futuristic Apocalypse, in 2021.
The Jaime’s Tone musical studio project was initiated in 2019 by Jacques M., a composer, songwriter and arranger from Paris, France. Jacques is attracted to progressive rock, hard rock, power metal and progressive metal, and also listens to classical music. He is particularly fond of such bands as Ayreon, Delain, The Neal Morse Band, Threshold, as well as Redemption, Kansas, Symphony X, and Alter Bridge.
Jaime's Tone is a French musician who has built a unique sound identity, fusing elements of rock, pop, and a strong '80s influence. […] His compositions evoke the rawness of post-punk, the depth of progressive rock, and the accessibility of indie rock. […] Throughout his career, he has explored themes such as nostalgia, ambition, and inner struggle, becoming a reference for those seeking more than just catchy melodies. CR Indie, Costa Rica
